Burglary is the entering into a listed places with intent to commit grand or petit larceny or any felony. California Penal Code 459. Burglary in the first degree is the burglary of an inhabited dwelling house, a vessel that is inhabited and designed for habitation, a floating home, a trailer coach, or the inhabited portion of any other building. All other kinds of burglary are second degree burglary.
